The Riverland volleyball team failed to take advantage of ball possession and missed opportunities as they came up short losing to the visiting Bethany Lutheran Vikings, 30-16, 30-12, 30,11.

"They kept giving the ball back to us, but we made too many errors," said Riverland coach Helen Jahr.

Aubree Page led the Blue Devil offensive effort with three kills and matched the two blocks made by teammate Heather Anderson. Ellie Ramseth had four set assists, while Steph Vollbrecht made 20 digs. Tanya Jensen punched in one ace.

"Bethany was very tough tonight," summarized Coach Jahr. "They played like the Division II team that they are."

The Blue Devils fall to 9-10 overall and 2-4 in the MCCC Southern Division Conference.
