Austin's Katie Munk and Natalie Bowers earned top 20 finishes, and Packer Carl Bauer placed sixth overall in a Friday cross country meet at St. Olaf College.

The girls team finished ninth in the 14-team field, and the boys placed ninth out of the same 14 teams.

"Katie and Natalie cam through for us tonight," Austin cross country coach Tony Einertson said. Molly (Thatcher), Megan (Wilson) and Mary Clair (Chao) continue to improve and helped."

Einertson said he was also pleased with the finish of eighth grader Isaac Van Proosdy, who finished second on the Austin boys side by clocking a 15:41 finish.
