Marjorie S. Schaefer, 72

Marjorie S. Schaefer, 72, of Austin, died Thursday, July 4, 2002 at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Blooming Prairie.

She was born April 6, 1930 in Waterville, Minn. to Charles and Irene (Hollinger) Kiewatt.

On April 7, 1951 she married Orin N. Schaefer at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin.

She was a homemaker, member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church and the National Catholic Society of Foresters.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, needlework, crafts, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include daughters Ann (Dan) Lee, Austin, Karen (Tim) Davidson, Austin; son Mark (Denise) Schaefer, Loves Park, Ill.; eight grandchildren; sisters Kathleen (Charles) Perry, Rochester, Mary Groth, Rockford, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2002, at the funeral home with a 4 p.m. CCW rosary and a 7 p.m. wake service and also from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Service: 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father William Becker officiating.

Interment: Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
