Dorothy Alice Baldwin, 82
Dorothy Alice Baldwin, 82, died Friday, July 12, 2002, at Adams Health Care Center, Adams.
She was born May 15, 1920, in Olney Springs, Colo. to Eustratios and Erma (Paap) Kleomenis.
She was baptized Dorothy Aliki in the Greek Orthodox Church and confirmed in the Lutheran Church.
She attended schools at Olney Springs and Northern Colorado University and worked in Pueblo and Denver, Colo.
On Nov. 10, 1942, she was married to Berton "Butch" Baldwin.
After Butch was discharged from the Navy in 1945, the couple worked in Denver then moved to Custer, S.D., where they owned and operated several service station garages. They retired after 40 years and traveled extensively until settling in Adams.
Dorothy was a member of Our Redeemers Lutheran Church and a charter member of Custer Lutheran Fellowship Church. She was active in Cub Scouts, Legion and VFW auxiliaries, and church activities. She loved spending time with her family, reading, golf, fishing and traveling.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Ann (Larry) Tompkins, Adams; sons, Steve (Judy) Baldwin, Custer, S.D.; Brian (Sharla) Baldwin, Temple, Texas; Chris (Gigi) Baldwin, Northridge, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Theresa Wilkinson, Las Vegas, Nev.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a grandson.
Service: A memorial service will be held.
