A 20-year-old Austin man has been arrested for possibly sexually assaulting a 21-year-old Austin woman.

According to police reports, officers received a 911 call that appeared to be a domestic dispute at 2:30 a.m. this morning from an apartment in the 400 block of 27th Street SW.

When officers arrived, they heard a woman screaming and when they entered the residence, the woman pointed at a man and told the officers he had raped her.

Police reports state the woman said she had been visiting friends at the apartment and after drinking too much, she went into a bedroom, took off her clothes and passed out. She awoke a short time later to find the 20-year-old on top of her and she told officers he may have had sex with her.

The man was taken to jail and detectives will follow up on the incident today.
