Spruce Up Austin, Inc. will sponsor a free tree planting seminar Wednesday.

The seminar begins 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ruby Rupner Auditorium at the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center.

Randy Berg, owner of Berg's Nursery, will discuss proper tree planting and share the latest information be has gleaned from workshops and other seminars.

In addition, Kelly Lady of Austin Utilities will discuss planting trees for energy efficiency.

Handouts will be available for all who attend.

After the hour-long presentation on tree planting, a question and answer session will follow.

The seminar is sponsored by Spruce up Austin,

Inc. and follows a well-attended tree planting seminar held a year ago.
