A 36-year-old Austin woman is being held at the Austin Medical Center for a 72-hour psychiatric evaluation after she threatened to slit her wrists.
According to police reports, officers were called to her residence Tuesday to do a welfare check. She had written a note to her husband and told officers she was giving things away, was not of her right mind and would be leaving this world soon.
Her husband explained to the officers they had a fight and she would be fine.
Later that evening, officers responded to another report that the same woman was sitting in a car, threatening to slit her wrists.
She was then taken to AMC for evaluation.
