The Austin Police Department arrested two men suspected of robbing the Budget Oil Co. store Tuesday evening.

According to Police Chief Paul Philipp, officers arrested an 18-year-old Austin man believed to be the gunman and a 15-year-old boy at a residence in the 1000 block of Second Avenue NE at about 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Philipp says police are still searching for a 17-year-old boy believed to be the third robber. "We know his name but we haven't been able to find him yet," Philipp says.

He credits the capture of the individuals to "good police work. It really, truly was. We've been out, banging on doors and talking to people … it was information from one person that led us to these two and we're diligently searching for the third."

Philipp says the 18-year-old is being held in the Mower County Jail and the 15-year-old is at Many Rivers Juvenile Detention Center in Rochester.

Philipp expects them to appear in court Monday or Tuesday.
