Don’t recent let the warm weather fool you. The sound of bells will be ringing Saturday afternoon in Austin.
More precisely, the Austin Area Handbell Ring-Out concert will take place at 4 p.m. at the Riverland Community College Gym in Austin. The group is requesting a $5 donation, and the event is free for children ages 12 and under.
Children will also have a chance to see a library character come to life earlier in the day.
The Austin Public Library will host children’s books character Franklin from 10 to 10:30 a.m. The event takes place in the library’s large meeting room.
And if you’re crazy for cribbage, there’s a cribbage workshop that will take place at 7 p.m. Monday at the Austin Public Library.
Also on Monday will be the Austin Area League of Women Voters’ annual meeting at 5:15 p.m. at the Hormel Nature Center.
