Three in custody after Cenex burglary

LYLE – The Mower County Sheriff’s Office caught three people believed to have been involved in a burglary at the Cenex convenience store and gas station at Lyle early today.

LYLE – The Mower County Sheriff’s Office caught three people believed to have been involved in a burglary at the Cenex convenience store and gas station at Lyle early today.
Two male adults are in the Mower County Jail and a juvenile female is also in custody.
Details of the burglary were sketchy at press-time today, but a quantity of cigarettes and lottery tickets were taken. Some of the stolen items have been recovered.
The trio of suspects was arrested without incident and charges of burglary and possession of stolen property are expected to be filed.
Juveniles wounded
Two juveniles reported being shot by a pellet gun early Friday evening.
According to an Austin Police Department report, the two juveniles were playing on the Roosevelt Street (4th Street Southeast) bridge near 7 p.m. Friday, when they reported being shot by BBs.
The male juvenile is 15 of Owatonna and his female companion is 14 of Austin. Both were taken to Austin Medical Center’s emergency room for examination of their superficial wounds.
Money bag missing
The manager at Apollo III Superette reported a money bag and its contents is missing from an office.
According to an Austin Police Department report, the bag was taken from an unlocked desk drawer in an office at the West Oakland Avenue business.
The bag contained $1,182 in cash, checks, credit card receipts and other financial records.
It is believed to have been stolen sometime between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 1 p.m. Friday, according to the police report.
