Hear a spring concert

Northwestern Singers will hold their spring concert, entitled "That’s Entertainment" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Paramount Theatre in downtown Austin. Selections from various MGM musicals will be featured. The Riverland Briars singing group will be special guests. Tickets are $7 in advance at Nemitz’s and $8 at the door.

Buy a plant

The Mower County Horticultural Society will hold its annual spring plant sale from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the community room of OakPark Mall in Austin.

Wave a flag

The American Legion will host a parade in downtown Austin at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The event caps the First District American Legion Convention in Austin this weekend.

Listen to the music

Incognito will perform Friday evening from 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Torge’s Live. Incognito is a 12-piece rock/soul/dance band based in Rochester featuring the five-piece Undercover Horns. Hairball, a combination of music and comedy, will take the stage at Torge’s Live on Saturday evening from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The band features Chainsaw, the former lead singer from Slave Raider, a popular hair band from the late ’80s. Chainsaw changes costumes every two songs and gets into character of the music they play. There is a $3 cover charge for each event.
