Blossoms Coach Chris Stalloch said, "Craig Olson pitched a good game but he needs the defense behind him. This was an important game for us as next week we have seeding in New Richland and Triton will be at that."

The game was over in the top of the sixth inning when Blooming Prairie ran the score to 13-3 with Bryan Kramer’s RBI.

The third inning is where the Blossoms made the most runs. The score was 2-2 and bases were loaded when Triton’s pitcher, Phil Gray, threw a wild pitch at Sam Romeo and brought Olson home. Glenn Valek was up with bases loaded when Bryan Kramer ran home on another wild pitch. Valek got two RBI. Valek stole second and Aaron McDonald brought him home with a base hit.

Bases were loaded again when Bryan Kramer made a hit that brought three runners home. The score was now at 9-2. The top of the fourth inning Jay Klemmenson got an RBI that made the score 10-2. In the top of the fifth inning, Bryan Kramer hit a home run. In the bottom of the fifth, Triton’s Josh Spitzrack hit an RBI that gave Triton another point, but Blooming Prairie defeated Triton soundly in the sixth inning.

Triton Assistant Coach Brad Spitzrack said, "We are low in numbers for baseball. Lots more guys are out for track and golf. Blooming Prairie has a good team. They hit the ball. We had too many walks."

Coach Stalloch said he was pleased with the way his team played.

"It was good to see Bryan Kramer getting back on track," he said. "When he comes out all the way, it will be a lot of fun."
