"We did an excellent job with the defense for the first three quarters," said L/P head coach Gary Erlandson. "They didn’t get many shots and they didn’t get many to go down."

Lyle/Pacelli streaked to a 33-15 advantage by halftime and led 48-23 after three periods.

"The starters probably played two and a half quarters," Erlandson said. "The kids who don’t usually get to play much got into the game.

"I was happy with the effort by all the kids tonight."

Philip Halbach scored a game-high 17 points and Cory Ransom hit double figures with 10 points.

Lyle/Pacelli improved its mark to 9-12.

The team plays at Fillmore Central tonight.
