GRAND MEADOW – Danny Greibrok led Lyle/Pacelli with 15 points in a 65-47 victory over Grand Meadow Tuesday night.
Lyle/Pacelli had a nice floor game and a good defensive effort, coach Gary Erlandson said.
Also leading the L/P scoring effort was Philip Halbach with 14 points and Nate Gunderson with 8 points.
Blooming Prairie 45, USC 43
BLOOMING PRAIRIE – Defense was the key that kept Blooming Prairie in the game against United South Central of Wells on Tuesday. Coach John Bruns said the boys started out not shooting well, but the defense was good enough to keep them in the game. In the third quarter, the Awesome Blossoms collected 16 points to take the lead. Bryan Kramer had three 3-pointers in the third quarter to lead the scoring effort. He wound up with 15 points for the game, while David Long had 14 points for the Blossoms, too.
USC’s leading scorers were Cole Iverson with 9, John Byer 9 and Brandon Auckes 9.
Blooming Prairie’s leading rebounders for the game were Bryan Bruggerman with 6 and Kramer with 5. Kramer also logged three steals and three assists. Scoring by quarters: Blooming Prairie, 10, 18, 34 and 45; USC, 9, 19, 31 and 43.
