Joan Sheedy smiles as she’s presented with flowers, a robe and tiara for being elected the 2000 Pacelli High School homecoming queen. Joan is the daughter of Joe and Jackie Sheedy. Jeff Austin, son of Jeff Austin and Kelly Austin-Hansen, was elected king during the ceremony. Lyle public schools coronated their king and queen Sunday evening, electing Cole Hastings, son of Larry and Sheila Hastings, as king and Michelle DeBoer, daughter of Frances and the late Tim DeBoer, as queen. Lyle/Pacelli plays its homecoming football game against Nicollet on Friday night.
