An Edina woman was charged with three counts of fifth-degree assault after a bizarre incident in Austin easly Saturday.

According to an Austin Police Department report, Vivian Anne Osgar, 44, was alone at Torge’s Bar and Grille near midnight Saturday, when she became belligerent and started abusing other customers and staff.

When a waitress attempted to escort her from the bar, she allegedly assaulted the employee.

When a Holiday Inn of Austin representative attempted to intervene, she assaulted him.

When police arrived, Osgar had gone to the nearby Perkins restaurant, where police took her into custody, but not before she assaulted an officer.

She was booked into the Mower County Jail and held for a court appearance.

None of the injuries sustained in attempting to remove Osger from the Austin businesses required medical attention.

Alleged misconduct

Austin police are investigating the reports of a father that his biological daughter was sexually abused by an uncle and three stepbrothers.

According to an Austin Police Department report, the father came to the Austin-Mower County Law Enforcement Center Friday to make the report.

He alleged his 8-year-old daughter was abused between July 1 and 25 at Austin and Brownsdale residences, where she was staying with her uncle (his brother) and three stepbrothers.

The charges involve allegations of in appropriate touching and the allegations remain under investigation.

Vandalism investigated

Austin police are investigating several reports of vehicle vandalism.

According to an Austin Police Department report, the incidents occurred over the weekend and resulted in thousands of dollars of damages to several vehicles.

Several of the incidents occurred in the 400 block of Ninth Street SW.
