A 36-year-old Austin woman claims she was sexually assaulted by three Hispanic males in an automobile.

According to an Austin Police Department report, the woman went to Hey! Rube! bar near 8 p.m. July 26. She was alone, and three males, which she identified as Hispanic, bought her four gin-and-tonic drinks, which she consumed within an hour.

She told police she left the downtown bar, which is across from the Austin – Mower County Law Enforcement Center, by a rear entrance. Once outside, someone grabbed her by the hair and forced her into a red Pontiac Firebird-type vehicle and drove away.

The woman claimed three men sexually assaulted her in the vehicle, while it was parked in a parking lot somewhere in northeast Austin.

She identified the males as including a man between 50 and 60, another man between 35 and 40 with bushy hair and a third male in his 20s with shoulder-length hair, according to the Austin Police Department report.

Anyone with information about the males or who has seen a vehicle matching the description is asked to call the Austin – Mower County Law Enforcement Center at 437-9400.

Stolen pickup truck

Joshua Earl Fargusson, 209 First St. NE, has reported his pickup truck stolen.

According to an Austin Police Department report, the vehicle was taken from Fargusson’s driveway sometime between 9 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

The vehicle is a 1985 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer with Minnesota wildlife habitat license plate NG3105 and Fargusson described it as brown in color with rust.

Truck, runaway returned

BROWNSDALE – A 1992 GMC Sierra pickup truck reported stolen from a Brownsdale residence has been recovered.

Also returned to the Austin area was a male juvenile, who ran away from the Gerard of Minnesota adolescent treatment center.

According to a Mower County Sheriff’s Department report, Earl Hagstrom reported his pickup truck stolen from a shed at his Brownsdale residence sometime Saturday night, while he and his wife were asleep in their home.

On Sunday, the Hagstroms received a telephone call from the New Hope Treatment Center at Minneapolis, saying a truck registered to Hagstrom was parked in a lot outside the facility.

A runaway teenager captured near the facility confessed to the theft and both the teen and the pickup truck were returned later Sunday.
