The 56-year-old man lives in a mobile home at Dexter.

According to Mower County Sheriff Barry J. Simonson, the man’s relatives came to the Austin-Mower County Law Enforcement Center to say the man was being physically and emotionally abused and otherwise taken advantage by a woman and her son.

When a deputy interviewed the man, he discovered the man had a blackened eye.

The woman lived there rent-free with her son. She required the man to drive her to various appointments in the area and Rochester, the sheriff said.

Based on the information obtained from the sources and physical evidence, the deputies evicted the woman from the man’s residence and drove her and her son to Rochester.

She was warned to have no contact with the Dexter man and the man was told to obtain a restraining order against the woman.
