Two people suffered minor injuries following a one-vehicle accident early Thursday.

The driver of the vehicle was charged with three offenses.

According to an Austin Police Department report, Rodney Ross, Jr., 32, 1001 17th Ave. NE, lost control of the vehicle he was driving on a curve along 2nd Drive SW near the city of Austin’s waste water treatment plant.

The mishap occurred at 1:25 a.m. Thursday.

Brian Kropiwka, 29, Austin, was the passenger.

Both left the scene, but were apprehended later.

Ross was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.

According to the police report, both men were taken to Austin Medical Center for observation, but their injuries were not serious.
