The Austin Police Department received a report from the mother of a juvenile who claimed he was beaten after the recent Austin High School versus Owatonna High School basketball game.

The Austin Police Department received a report from the mother of a juvenile who claimed he was beaten after the recent Austin High School versus Owatonna High School basketball game.

According to the police report, the youth told his mother he was surrounded by a group of unidentified students after the basketball game Friday night outside AHS and pummeled by members of the group.

The mother told Austin police, her son suffered a cut lip, bumps on his head and bruises on his legs.

The victim and his mother live in Ellendale.

The incident remains under investigation.
