Robert Vietor, who lives opposite the YMCA on 1st Drive NW, is "really irked" because the contractors are charging more for the portion of 1st Drive done in 1999 than they did for the half completed in 1998. "I don’t think my property went up any $3,591," he told the Austin City Council Monday night. Vietor is one of 62 residents who filed a written objection to his street assessment from the city.
