The Austin girls swim team, sparked by four first-place finishes, grabbed second place in the 10-team Centennial Relays.

The Austin girls swim team, sparked by four first-place finishes, grabbed second place in the 10-team Centennial Relays.
The relay meet was held Saturday at Centennial High School, which is north of the Twin Cities.
Austin’s finishes are as follows:

400-yard Medley Relay: Austin finished fourth in 4 minutes, 49.76 seconds with a team of Liz Goskesen, Carrie Braaten, Alisha Farrell and Lauren Goettsch;
800 Freestyle Relay: Austin first in 8:44.50 with a team of Becky Sanford, Sarah Heins, Stacy Bjorlie and Tristen Kusterer;
200 Medley Relay: Austin first in 2:00.05 with a team of Sanford, Amy Martin, Meghan Walsh and Goettsch;
400 Individual Medley Relay: Austin fourth in 4:58.79 with a team of Walsh, Braaten, Farrell and Audrey Kunert;
200 Free Relay: Austin first in 1:51.69 with a team of Goettsch, Martin, Heins and Amanda Martin;
Diving: Austin fourth with 137.20 points with a team of Jori Baldus and Danielle Chapek;
300 Butterfly Relay: Austin fifth in 3:22.27 with a team of Walsh, Farrell, Amy Bowe and Bjorlie;
100 Free Relay: Austin seventh in 0:59.14 with a team of Liz Goskesen, Nicole Champlin, Lisa Mader and Bobbie King;
850 Crescendo Relay: Austin first in 9:21.56 with a team of Martin, Lisa Champlin, Bjorlie and Sanford;
300 Backstroke Relay: Austin third in 3:31.78 with a team of Goskesen, Martin, Bowe and Kusterer;
300 Breast-stroke Relay: Austin fifth in 3:56.19 with a team of Martin, Nicole Champlin, Lisa Mader and Braaten;
400 Free Relay: Austin second in 4:02.80 with a team of Goettsch, Heins, Kusterer and Lisa Champlin.
