Cardinal girls drop season opener

The LeRoy/Ostrander girls basketball team had a rough start to their season as they fell to Dover/Eyota 72-31 in the Dover Invite Friday.
The Cardinals (0-1 overall) struggled with D/E’s full court pressure throughout the night.
“They’re athletic and they just stuck it to us,” L/O head coach Russ Foster said. “We knew what they were gonna do, but I don’t think we were ready for their athleticism. They’re a good team.”
The Cardinals will play in third place game Saturday at 6 p.m. in Dover.
