David J. King, 60, of Omaha, Nebraska, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018.

David J. King, 60

He was born June 2, 1957, in Rochester, Minnesota, to Henry and Sarah (Brady) King. He grew up on a farm near Adams, Minnesota, and graduated from Southland High School in 1975. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge in 1978. He then attended Austin Vo-Tech, studying electronics. After graduating from Austin Vo-Tech in 1980, he began an electronics related career, working for various companies over the next 37 years.

Dave was a kind and generous man, always willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed playing 500 and cribbage and had a terrific sense of humor.

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Ryan) Johnson, Rosemount, Minnesota; son, Brad King (Rachel Fleck), Des Moines, Iowa; grandson, Evan Johnson; granddaughter, Kayleigh Haberman; brothers, Robert (Jean), Larry (Jan), and Ray (Donna); sister, Joyce (Robin) Miller; and special friend, Diane Armstrong.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ronald.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
