Boys hockey: Packers rally past Wingers

The Austin boys hockey team used a third period rally to beat Red Wing (5-16-2 overall, 5-7-2 Big Nine) 2-1 in Riverside Arena Monday.

The Wingers led 1-0 after two periods, but AJ Mueller and Dylan Svoboda each scored third period goals to give the Packers (7-15-1 overall, 3-10-1 Big Nine) the win. Svoboda’s game-winner came with 1:30 left in the contest.

Ryan Flanders stopped 39 of the 40 shots he saw in net for Austin.
