The Hayfield volleyball team swept Pine Island (6-6 overall, 2-3 HVL) by scores of 25-11, 25-23, 25-18 on the road Thursday.

Maggie Streightiff had 13 kills and 19 set assists for the Vikings (10-1 overall, 4-1 HVL) and Kate Kruger added 13 kills. Hayfield had a good fan following for them on the road and head coach Jeremy Struck said that boosted the Vikings.

“We had a tournament atmosphere tonight in Pine Island,” Struck said. “The fans really came out tonight to support the girls and made their presence known. We gave them a lot to cheer about tonight. The girls played well.”
