Blooming Prairie sweeps JWP in season opener

The Blooming Prairie volleyball team opened its season with a win over Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton (0-1 overall) by scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-17 in BP Tuesday.

BP freshman Micalyn Trihus had a strong varsity debut as she racked up 13 kills and six blocks for the Awesome Blossoms (1-0 overall).

“Our team played some excellent volleyball tonight. They remained aggressive on offense and made some key blocks,” BP head coach Ranell Kittelson said. “They really played well together and kept the momentum on our side. The girls did a great job at effective and aggressive serving as well. Their hard work in pre-season shown through tonight.”
