Athletics rally past Spring Grove to win 3rd straight game

The Lyle-Pacelli baseball team made a late surge to beat Spring Grove (1-1 overall, 1-0 SEC) 5-4 on the road Thursday.

The Athletics (3-0 overall, 3-0 SEC) scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning to go up 5-3 and they held the Lions to one run in the bottom of the seventh.

Zach Bollingberg picked up the win in relief for LP and he had two RBIs.

“Our guys never quit after trailing twice,” LP head coach Brock Meyer said. “I’m proud of them for not giving in. We have a lot to work on but good it was a good team win.”
