Austin Bruins hold on to beat Wilderness

The Austin Bruins survived a wild third period against the Minnesota Wilderness as they won 5-4 in Riverside Arena Friday.

The Wilderness (18-15-3-1 overall) scored three goals in the third period, but it wasn’t enough as Austin’s Travis Kothenbeutel scored to put Austin up 5-3 with 3:45 left in the game.

Jan Stefka and Cole Lawrence each had two goals for the Bruins (17-16-2-2 overall and Jake Kucharski had 27 saves to get the win.
