Q: What sports do you play?

A: Basketball.

Q: How did you originally get into basketball?

A: When I was younger I wanted to fit in with my older siblings and cousins so I started playing street ball with them.

Q: What’s your favorite sports memory? 

A: Sophomore year making it to the Mayo Civic Center after Shayley Vesel’s buzzer beater [to beat Byron in the quarterfinals].

Q: What have you learned from sports?

A: Leadership and that my team is my family.

Q: What is the hardest part about basketball?

A: Skill wise I’d have to say that ball handling is probably the hardest part in basketball.

Q: Who is your biggest sports role model and why?

A: Dwyane Wade, because he’s so dedicated to the game. He is the first basketball player I ever watched and he’s so humble. That motivates me to push myself to become a player like him.

Q: What is your favorite movie or TV show?

A: All the Rush Hour movies.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: Science.

Q: What is your dream job?

A: Pharmacist.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: All foods are my favorite.

Q: What are your plans after high school?

A: Continue my education and basketball career, while studying to become a pharmacist.

Q: What’s a fun fact about you or hobby you enjoy most people don’t know about?

A: I really enjoy drawing.

Q: What are your top three pump songs before a big game?

A: “Big Rings,” “Dat Way” and ‘Flex Up.”

Q: What are your top three guilty pleasure songs?

A: “Let me explain,” “You remind me” and “Pretty Again.”
