Bruins take down Jets in shootout

After dropping a couple of shootouts in a row, the Austin Bruins turned the tables and ended the Janesville Jets’ seven-game winning streak when they beat the Jets (16-5-0-2 overall) 3-2 in a shootout on the road Wednesday.

Liam Thrawl, Jon Richards and Jan Setfka all scored in the shootout for the Bruins (9-7-2-2 overall) to get the win.

Austin forced overtime when Jason Koehn scored with 11:30 left in the first half.

Jake Kucharski picked up the win by stopping 38 shots in net for Austin. Kucharski stopped three out of the five shots he saw in the shootout.
