Austin High School Activities Director Lisa Quednow recently announced the hiring of Anna Meyer, as the Interim girls basketball coach for the 2016-17 season.

Meyer graduated from Austin High School in 2007 she played basketball with the Packers, Riverland Community College, and Bemidji State University.  Meyer was an assistant coach last season under Todd Johnson, who recently resigned as head girls basketball coach.

“It is always exciting to hire alum of the district,” Quednow said. “We are excited about the upcoming season under the leadership of Anna.”

There is a Winter sports parent meeting 6 p.m. Nov. 7 in Knowlton Auditorium for all student athletes who want to participate in a winter sport.
