The time has come for all of those who borrowed Red Bikes from the Austin Red Bike Program this summer to return them for maintenance and winter storage. 30 Red Bikes were rolled out last April. We have had 15 bikes already returned so we are looking for another 15 Red Bikes to be returned.

The Red Bike Committee met and reviewed the 2016 Red Bike season, which was our very first year. The goal of the free bike share program is to provide bikes to residents and visitors with the motto “Ride. Respect. Return”.

The committee is pleased with the success of the project and the fact that the Red Bikes have been in use. The Committee is looking forward to continuing the program with even more Red Bikes in 2017.

If you have a Red Bike, please return it to Rydjor Bike Shop or call Austin Park and Rec at 433-1818 or Rydjor Bike Shop at 433-7571 and we will arrange to have the Red Bike picked up.
