Mary Ann Baker, 78, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2016, at Fieldcrest Care Center in Hayfield.

She was born Dec. 20, 1937, in Dodge Center, Minnesota, the daughter of Art and Ethel (Conover) Baker. Mary attended Dodge Center schools. She served as a nanny for many families over the years, and enjoyed living a simple life. Mary’s hobbies included collecting porcelain cats, reading books and frequenting thrift stores.
She is survived by her siblings Ethel Hodges of Austin, Minnesota, Jeanne (Richard) Haferbecker of St. Paul, Minnesota, Joseph Baker of Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Art and Ethel Baker and two brothers, Edward and Arthur.
