An intoxicated man was arrested after he caused a ruckus at an apartment complex Wednesday around 9:03 p.m.

Austin police responded to the 200 block of 11th Avenue Northwest after two parties called dispatch about an individual going around and banging on doors in the complex, causing problems and refusing to leave, according to Police Chief Brian Krueger.

When police arrived, one of the parties who had called pointed the man out to police.

A 28-year-old man with an Omaha, Nebraska, address was cited for trespassing and disorderly conduct. He was taken to Mower County Jail.

Then at about 10:38 p.m., police received another call to the same building for a report of a shoe print on a door located on a different floor. The doorjamb was broken as a result of the kicked door.

Police matched the shoe print to the 28-year-old, who is now being held on possible charges of criminal damages to property, trespassing and possible burglary for trying to force his way into that apartment.
