Girls basketball: Blossoms drop 4th straight game

The Blooming Prairie girls basketball team lost its fourth straight game to close out its regular season when it fell to Waterville-Elysian-Morristown 54-38 in BP Friday.

Kylie Forystek and Kaci Gwilt each had eight points for the Awesome Blossoms (14-10 overall, 7-5 Gopher).

WEM has now won 18 games in a row.

“This was our fourth game in a row against some of the best teams in the area and while the result was a loss, we made a lot of progress tonight,” BP head coach John Bruns said. “We played well enough to win, but we just could not get shots to fall for a stretch at the end of the half and beginning of the second half.”
