The No. 6 seeded Blooming Prairie boys basketball team started strong as it beat No. 11 Christian Life Academy (7-15 overall) 75-36 in a Section 1A West tournament game in BP Tuesday.
Marten Morem had 15 points and six rebounds for BP (10-16 overall) and Anthony Nelson had 11 points, six assists and eight steals.
BP led by 30 points with seven minutes left in the first half as it had all 12 players score in the win.
“It was a good confidence builder for our team who doesn’t have a lot of playoff experience,” BP head coach Nathan Piller said. “Playing well tonight gives the guys momentum and a belief that we can execute one play at a time until the final horn.”
BP will play at No. 3 Southland 7 p.m. Thursday.
