Three area teams battled for the next leg in the playoffs during the semifinals of the Section 1A West Tournament in Rochester’s Mayo Civic Center Monday night.

Lyle-Pacelli saw its season come to an end, losing to Goodhue while in the other game, Grand Meadow hung on to defeat Southland.

Grand Meadow will face Goodhue for the West title at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Mayo Civic Center.
