A 25-year-old Austin woman was arrested Sunday for allegedly stealing a car and driving after her license was revoked.

Officers were called to the 1200 block of Oakland Place Southeast around 5:30 p.m. for a report of someone driving after her license was revoked, according to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger.

The suspect parked the vehicle and walked away, but police apprehended her at the corner of Oakland and 10th Drive Southeast. Police then learned the car was stolen.

The woman, who is also on probation, was arrested and jailed pending formal charges for car theft and driving after her license was revoked, according to Krueger.
