Winifred Mae Hansen, 90, of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, formerly of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, died Friday evening, Jan. 22, 2016, at LuAnn’s Place in Eden Prairie.

Winifred Mae Paschke was born May 3, 1925, the daughter of Ewald and Alma (Erdmann) Paschke in Blue Earth, Minnesota. She attended school in Blue Earth. On Sept. 18, 1943, she was united in marriage to Hervie Udstuen at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Blue Earth. The couple lived and farmed near Bricelyn, Minnesota, before purchasing a farm in Ripley Township, Dodge County, Minnesota. Winifred was a devoted farm wife, helping with the farm chores as well as taking time for crafts, crocheting, baking and sewing. She also enjoyed bowling and playing cards. Hervie died on Dec. 31, 1972. Winifred continued to live on the family farm and on June 3, 1974, married Calvin Quentin Hansen in South Dakota. The couple lived on the farm until moving to Hayfield and later to Rochester, Minnesota. Calvin died on April 5, 2006. In 2014, Winifred moved to LuAnn’s Place, a residential care home in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, to be near her daughter. She was a long time member of First Lutheran Church where she served in circle and helped with the annual lutefisk dinners.

Survivors include, a son, Duane (Mona) Udstuen of Marana, Arizona; daughters: Karen Lehmann of Longville, Minnesota, Sherry Udstuen of Mountain View, California, and Ranae (Charles) Noble of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ewald and Alma Paschke; both husbands: Hervie Udstuen and Calvin Hansen; a son-in-law, Richard Lehmann; one brother, Wilfred; and one sister, Marion.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, at First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, with Pastor Heidi Heimgartner officiating. Interment will follow the service in First Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016. The Worlein – Blooming Prairie Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com. Memorials to First Lutheran Church of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota.
