Hayfield senior Savanna Cordle recently signed her national-letter-of-intent to play college volleyball under a partial athletic scholarship at NAIA Waldorf College.

Cordle was a middle hitter for Hayfield this past fall and she racked up 177 kills and 82 blocks for the Vikings. She said playing for Hayfield has helped prepare her to play volleyball at the next level and she’s excited to play for the Warriors next season.

“I can breathe and feel confident in my college choice,” Cordle said. “Being a part of the team has really helped me drive my passion for volleyball and I’ve enjoyed it.”

Cordle was looking at two schools to play volleyball at and Waldorf, which went 9-29 overall this season won out.

“Waldorf seemed like a good fit. Everyone there is super nice and personal,” Cordle said. “Playing college volleyball is always something I wanted to do. I didn’t know if I would be able to do it, and now I’m super excited to get back into it.”

Cordle will be teammates with Austin senior Kelsey Sederquest, a libero, who committed to Waldorf last week.
