The Austin girls hockey team lost 6-2 at Rochester Mayo (7-15 overall, 5-9 Big Nine) on the road Thursday.

The Spartans jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first two periods.

Madison Overby and Myia Hoium each scored a third period goal for the Packers (13-8 overall, 11-5 Big Nine). Brandi Myers, Hoium, Overby and Sam Grunewald all had one assist.

Mara Overby had 26 saves for the Packers, who had 26 shots on goal.
