Beulah Marie Luthe, 95

Beulah was born May 21, 1920, in Lansing, Minnesota, to Oliver P. and Katherine B. (Rector) Quam. She attended school in Lansing. On Aug. 7, 1937, Beulah was united in marriage to Albert Luthe in Austin at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church parsonage. The couple raised their family in Lansing. Beulah enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children. After the kids were in school, she took a job as a cook at Lansing Public and Austin Public Schools. Beulah and Albert moved to Brownsdale in 1979, and then to Pickett Place in 1982, where they were the first tenants. Traveling, playing cards, taking casino outings and embroidery were among Beulah’s favorite pastimes. She especially loved to be with family and friends, and loved to drive her van, giving many rides to friends.

Survivors include her children: Kathryn Paine of Austin, Patricia Bailey of Lansing, Barbara (Paul) Miller of Albert Lea, Robert (Rita) Luthe of Brownsdale, Sandra (Earl) Davis of Austin; daughter-in-law Delaine Luthe of Lansing; and son-in-law Wesley Grant of Holmen, Wisconsin; 24 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; and many precious nieces and nephews.
