Lauren Larkoski is a senior on the Blooming Prairie girls basketball team.

Q: How did you originally get into your sport?

A: My parents put me in BPRA youth basketball when I was in 4th grade.

Q: What’s your favorite sports memory?

A: As 10th grader, beating the number 3 ranked team in volleyball.

Q: What have you learned form playing sports?

A: I’ve learned that it isn’t just all about yourself, it’s about your whole team. Myself alone can do so little, but together as team I’ve learned you can do so much.

Q: What’s is the hardest part about your sport?

A: Basketball is a very long season, it’s hard to stay engaged in the winter months

Q: Who is your biggest role model and why?

A: My dad is my biggest role model, he keeps me motivated throughout the season. My dad always manages to make it to all of mine and my brothers sporting events. He’s like Superman.

Q: What’s your favorite movie or TV show?

A: The Middle.

Q: What’s your favorite subject in school?

A: Anatomy with Mrs. Oelkers because she’s the bomb.

Q: What’s your dream job?

A: Pediatrician

Q: What’s your favorite food?

A: Anything with pasta

Q: What’s your plans after high school?

A: To attended a nursing school and receive my associate degree in nursing.

Q: What’s a fun fact about you or hobby you enjoy most people don’t know about?

A: I love to go bow hunting for deer.

Q: What are your top three pump songs before a big game?

A: ‘Hit The Quan’ by I love Memphis, ‘I know’ by Big Sean and ‘Money and the Power’ by Kid Ink.

Q: What are your top three guilty pleasure songs?

A: ‘Where Is The Love’ by The Black Eyed Peas, ‘All Eyes On You’ by Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj and ‘Here’ by Alessia Cara.
