David Allen Madison, 39, of Austin, Minnesota, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015.

He was born March 12, 1976, in Austin, Minnesota, to Don and Sue (Allas) Madison. David grew up in Austin, graduating from Austin High School in 1995. David married Melissa Kneeskern, and the couple lived in Pipestone, Minnesota. To this union two children were born. The couple later divorced. In 2012, David moved back to Austin. He attended Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Marshall, Minnesota, where he received a degree in Wind Tower Technology. A member of the Methodist faith, David’s favorite pastimes included fishing, hunting, and spending time with his children.

Survivors include his parents Don and Sue Madison of Austin; his children: Hunter Madison and Summer Madison, both of Lyle, Minnesota; his grandmother Patty Madison of Mapleview, Minnesota; his sister Kathy (Mike) Madsen of Hollandale, Minnesota; nephews: Michael Madison and Kyle Bramstedt; niece Elizabeth Bramstedt; many aunts, uncles; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Pete and Gladys Allas; and his paternal grandfather Albert Madison.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with Pastor Dennis Tamke officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, at Worlein Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials can be directed to the Madison family or recipient of donor’s choice. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
