Pacelli freshman Kayla Christopherson qualified for the Class A state cross country meet for the third time in her career at the Section Section 1A meet in Rochester Thursday.

Christopherson took second overall in the girls race with a time of 19:50.

Blooming Prairie sophomore Alec Ille earned his first trip to state when he took eighth in the boys race. Ille is the first BP boy since 2006 to qualify for the state meet.

GMLOS junior Peter Torkelson took seventh in the meet to earn his first ever trip to state. Torkelson is the first GMLOS boy to qualify for the state meet.
