The Blooming Prairie volleyball team finished off its regular season with a sweep over New Richland-HEG (12-12 overall, 3-6 Big Nine) by scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-10 in BP Thursday.

Courtney Wobschall had seven kills and five blocks for BP (8-15 overall, 4-5 Gopher) and Samantha Wurst had seven blocks.

“It was a great win. It’s always fun to play New Richland,” BP head coach Ranell Kittelson said. “The energy was high and the atmosphere was really pumped up. We’ve been working really hard on a lot of fundamental things like reading blockers hard and executing our passes. Our middles really showed up tonight.”

BP will open the Section 1A West tournament when it hosts No. 10 seeded LeRoy-Ostrander 7 p.m. Monday.
