Mary-Frances Jones, 84, of Austin, Minnesota, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, in Brownsdale, Minnesota, where she had been living.

Mary-Frances was born May 26, 1931, at Melrose Park, Illinois, the daughter of the Rev. James Garrard Jones, Sr. and Alice Millor Jones. In 1973, she moved to Austin where she was the manager of the Austin Social Security office for 13 years. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1977 and continued her education graduating from the Diaconal Formation program of the Episcopal Diocese of Minnesota in 1981. She was ordained at Christ Episcopal Church in Austin, Minnesota, on June 29, 1982.

In retirement, Mary-Frances traveled throughout the United States in her camper working in a number of National Parks and used her camper for disaster relief work with the Salvation Army.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, the Rev. James G. Jones, Jr.

Mary-Frances is survived by her brother and sisters-in-law: the Reverends Michael S. and Beverly Jones of Middleville, New York, Nancy Jones, Copper City, Michigan; nieces: Mary Katherine Devine, nee Jones, Melissa Kettering White; nephews: James Garrard Jones, Illinois, John Francis Jones, David Gregory Jones, Stephen Michael Jones, Isaac Potoczny-Jones and Ian James Jones.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at Christ Episcopal Church with the Rev. Catherine Lemons officiating. Visitation will be at the church for one hour before the service. Private burial will be in the Nashotah House Cemetery in Nashotah, Wisconsin.
