Best Bets: Fall on the horizon

Enjoy the weather as summer wraps up and fall sports are again underway. Cheer on local teams as they face off, listen to some family-friendly music and eat lots of pancakes.

1. Silversyde in concert at The Way Cafe stage

7-11:55 p.m., Friday, The Way Cafe, 210 4th Street NE

The Freedom Event Center will offer Christian entertainment for anyone Friday. The event is free and open to the public. Stop by to see the group Silversyde perform live at the cafe. Order some coffee, get together with some friends, or meet new friends on this fun night out. The first show will start at 7 p.m., and the second show will start after the Austin High School football game.

2. 3D Archery Shoot

10 a.m-4 p.m., Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Sunday, Cedar River Archery Club

Get together with enthusiasts who share the love of archery. The Cedar River Archery Club promotes a safe, fun and family-oriented place where people can come and shoot with others who share their passion. For more information, call 507-437-6733.

3. Masonic Pancake Feed

9 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, Austin Masonic Lodge, 303A N Main St.

The Austin Masons will host an all-you-can-eat pancake feed for $5 per person. Come enjoy pancakes, sausage, orange juice, milk and coffee.

4. High School Football

7 p.m., Friday, Art Hass Stadium

Mabel-Canton will play against Lyle-Pacelli at Art Hass Stadium the only time this year.

5. High School Soccer

2 p.m., Saturday, Austin

Come support the girls on the Austin High School soccer team as they face off against Worthington in Austin Saturday.
