Cynthia Ricke of Austin won $21,000 by playing the Minnesota State Lottery’s 24 Karat Crossword scratch game.

She purchased the winning ticket at Ankeny Mini Mart, 1400 NW 14th St. in Austin. She claimed the prize on July 31.

Since 1990, the Lottery has raised more than $2.4 billion for state programs. The General Fund has received more than $1.4 billion to help fund education, public safety and health and human services. More than $1 billion has funded important environmental programs.
